Fifth-Ranked Women's Cross Country Wins Pre-Nationals - Georgetown University Official Athletic SitePublished by
WASHINGTON - The No. 5 Georgetown women's cross country team won the Pre-National meet today, hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. The course is a preview of the NCAA Championship course and also happens to be the familiar confines for the Hoyas as they won the 2011 National Championship on this same course. The 24th-ranked men traveled to Madison, Wis., for the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, finished 26th at the meet with an abbreviated roster without some of GU's top performers of the season. "Today was a great day for the Hoyas," Head Women's Cross Country Coach Michael Smith said. "Top to bottom, everyone did their job today. As a team, we said before the meet, if you don't have a great day, you're going to have a good day and that really happened." Read the full article at: www.guhoyas.com
